Balance – A Poetic Journey from Childhood to Transformation

Publié le 10 septembre 2019 à 17:45

While going through old papers, I just came across a text I had written in 2001… I was then visiting an old friend in the Pyrenees… and on the morning of departure, sitting on the doorstep of the house, gazing beyond the mountains, I quickly scribbled a farewell note for her daughter, who was at school at the time. I’d like to share it with you…

Balance

The child of yesterday, now today’s little girl, sails toward the woman of tomorrow,

gathering the threads of life to weave the final bouquet,

a synthesis of perceptions and emotions in dependence on time,

which, perceived only in the present,

will provide the energy needed for this evolution.

The balance of the senses and the fusion of self with the universe

will ripen only through observing the signs hidden behind the walls of the ego.

Live every moment fully, as if it were the last,

sail with detachment—and see you soon,

Little Girl, Young Woman, or Woman.

2001 – Pyrenees – Valérie

Today, as I read these lines again, I see the anticipation of what I would later discover through Meditation and Kum Nyé Yoga, for what is spoken of here is the transformation of the mind through presence—presence which allows the circulation of energy, of wind, and which, when rightly directed, reveals another reality.
